Lakeshore Wednesday

Happy Spring loves :) I got the chance to indulge midweek in a much needed dose of nature and sunshine when I headed down to the lakeshore with photographer Kieran Darcy. Here are some snaps, featuring a seriously cool vintage, sequinned vest.

Sunday Morning | Kieran Darcy Photography

Hey guys! It’s a week until World MasterCard Fashion Week kicks off, and (perfectly coincidentally) it looks like it is finally getting nice out. Because the weather absolutely must revolve around the fashion calendar.. right? This past weekend, I found myself on cloud nine, seriously. There’s just something so intoxicating about that first taste of Spring in the air. Here are some photos taken by the oh-so talented Kieran Darcy to capture it. I highly recommend you check out her other works, and the rest of the photos from our shoot Sunday, all here!MM3 MM5 MM9 MM13 MM17 MM19 MM21 MM24

Bridal Shower Sundays

Hey guys :) With fashion month and exams, it’s been a hectic season for this intern/student. So I apologize for my absence. But hey – WMCFW is 2 and a half weeks and that means lot more posting (yay!). In the meantime I wanted to share some photos from the bridal shower I attended Sunday, which was that of my cousin’s amazing fiancé. It was so much fun and so amazing to see family that I haven’t had a chance to connect with in quite some time. (Talk about relaxing!) Plus, it was totally an excuse to whip out my amazing pair of pale pink t-strap heels c/o Zara. I know, my obsession has gotten a  little out of hand but… well, simply put, it’s fabulous, and I don’t care. In case you missed them on my Instagram account here they are:

Valentines Weekend

Happy Valentines, everyone! Hope you’re all enjoying your weekends with your loved ones.
This has been such a nice, relaxing weekend for me – visiting my grandmother and her adorable puppies with my mom and siblings, digging through stacks of old records (Queen, Nirvana – hello, gold!), indulging in red wine, coffee, baked goods, chocolates (and the list, I admit, does go on and on).

In the name of off-duty, utter laziness, I spent my Saturday in pyjama-style pants from Zara, an oversized men’s American Apparel button up, and my ever-comfy go-to Jeffrey Campbell litas. <3

NYFW pt. I

Fashion month = exam month. As. Always. It’s like a cruel twist of fate that has me, and I’m sure most student fashion bloggers, completely overwhelmed. I mean come on, keeping on top of absolutely everything is, quite simply, impossible. Nevertheless, my infatuation with the fashion industry is what keeps me going. Today I’ve sorted through, post hitting the books, and have come up with some of my favourite looks from New York (Mercedes Benz) Fashion Week to share with you all. From neons at Altuzarra, to Dada-inspired sweaters at Opening Ceremony (studying for my art history exam actually goes hand-in-hand here!), to pyjama pants-esque trousers at Rodarte, etc. here they are:

To my fellow students, good luck studying! To those incredible editors covering the endless (yet unspeakably amazing) fashion month, I wish you all the very best of luck as well!

Holt Renfrew x WellSpring Cancer Benefit

Happy (almost) February, guys! It’s officially less than two hours until we bid adieu to January 2014, and I for one couldn’t be happier. If I haven’t made it already abundantly clear, I am the most ready for Spring to arrive. Shooting Spring editorials (not to mention perusing through Haute Couture Week archives) certainly does that to a girl. So if I can’t have Spring right away, then I guess I’ll have to settle for being one month closer to it. Hello, February!

With this festive, Cupid-filled month comes Holt Renfrew‘s annual Well Dressed for Spring fashion show and fundraiser in support of Wellspring Cancer Support Foundation. Taking place this year on Monday, February 24th at Holts itself, you can bet I’m already counting down the days. Seriously, fashion, shopping, and wine? For a good cause? This is my kind of evening. That’s not to mention the celebs and execs that’ll be strutting the catwalk. Uh… yes please.

See you there, loves!
